make a meal or feast a hello set the silver down again lose a beat on some unknown clip the calendar some more when he sees what leaves him alone it's a stomach sighing for more cranes and streets look out to the store cut the creek and saw the phone call an evil beat a song walk a mile inside a mind i can't be alone and all these parties feel alone and all i've tried start a team to cheat the towel keep your garden flowerless when your dreams won't sleep for hours you'll be right back back in my heart call an evil beat a song mark a mile inside a mind i can't be alone and all these parties feel alone and alive i can't be alone and all these parties feel alone and all i've tried aaheeyahhh it's gettin better!
18.
when the world you find absurd and turning faster and your head gets covered in news there's a land you should be planning on landing on it's harmless the stares a band can stand are only if it's friend shit covered in booze you can come and have a laugh and join me staring at the map we all see off ourselves when the world finds you i know it's easier to be happy when it's tropical so glad you said whatever when we parted cuz your memory's back in my room you're stuck in santeria maybe i can come and see ya we all see off ourselves when the world finds you i know it's easier to be happy when it's magical
19.
Happy Man 02:12
we were dying for a heart i put a light in my hand we were lying in the park beside a garbage can look at that street sign we'll be fine talk about anything do everything worth mentioning but dance cuz dancing's arrogant on a mattress in the dark i got an ampersand when the story rolls to park i'll be a happy man we won't freeze tonight feelin right walk around anywhere a lotta wanna party and dance cuz dancing's here again
20.
The Sleeper 02:18
the crystal heart is pure but hollow taking steps towards the altar in a not so pure embrace the lonely eyes once draped in sorrow find a sympathetic partner in a bottle labeled rye awake the sleeper nothing changes just redefines a normal life so boring and depressing and cliche awake the sleeper a rural beach that calms the squatter staring blankly at the sunrise waiting for the world to end at once a king of men now sunken to a suicidal drunk and pathetic waste of aire
21.
hey wait a minute charlie instead of goin to the party wait a minute instead of joining the piss parade we'll go and have a sunny day and make a little memory and call me when you're lonely it's these times no one understands and i know you're low
22.
Memory Motel 02:33
love letters and flowers that sing a little more in my range than a sparkly ring not fair all your friends have all left at least they're not pretending to be happy i'm not borrowing sheets from my dad i didn't write another song for ya just to be sappy now none of it means anything i guess i'm better off just humming along or stopping what else could divide a house and put all of me out? the sunbelt is a Greyhound away but i'll remain (well y'know i couldn't leave ya) no sour tea talking no flattered remains (well y'know i couldn't keep ya) no better than hours away from our days between stations and like a long-song-makeout you're making me read like a teenage highway turning twenty
23.
where i go is cold and what i wear will show it anywhere i love it baby you could leave me lonely on the brightest sunday hell ain't real if cold is coming, football you need a friend if you're going there well anywhere i care enough to be i know that you want me and prom ain't coming i like no wheels on summer streets and cold is coming i like to feel differently so stick with saturday and keep your lovely as air to breathe or anything you could give me lonely on a groovy friday miles of fear and coaches yelling football you could carry autumn bring it to the bottom tell my year that cold is coming see a frigid guarantee and love keeps loving i like feelings bouncing free and cold is coming i like to feel differently

Beach Music 01:49

28.
I wish you'd make your silence a hello (just so you know) and push all pain violence out the door (whether weather is outside) and stash it all in a box and put it where you never go and leave me without trying shut the door since then I've been living with a lump in my throat since then I've been living alone so keep your bloody frames on those high hopes some friends will tell you some friends will help you with a smile (whether weather is outside) some friends will buy you drinks some friends will let you be alone never gonna leave you I need you won't keep you I'd meet you in a dump and what could be amends if all your naked miles cut your bones?
29.
that guy calling you inside my size longer waistline no I can't think forward it's piled high on my shoulders laugh lines: a gift from always no sign of slips and palsy don't mind it's them that's changing cuz I'll fight and kick for your love to keep you satisfied in the back nine of your life and no one could look you in the eye in the back nine of your life

32.
Local Anchor 02:09
heard you went back it wasn't the same it's never gonna be happy recess and laughing days again took a look then i took it away there's nothing glad about empty halls and forgotten names local anchor hasn't been the same since we drank away autumns slept away summers and paid for it

about

These songs are culled from 6 LPs and 9 EPs from our first 5 years as a band, an era spanning July 1 2005-July 1 2010.

We totally recognize that putting 32 songs on a best-of comp might seem excessive and hubristic, BUT:

1) given that we had 141 songs to choose from, this record only contains 22% of our output from those five years, which hopefully seems less cocky
2) most of the songs are pretty short, so even if you hate them, they end quickly
3) we don't have enough listeners or fans for there to be any kind of controversy over this

Tracks 1-6 from Born to Bar Band (LG05, 2007)
Tracks 7-12 from A Steamroller Named Desire (LG08, 2008)
Tracks 13-16 from Complete Lung Champions (LG11, 2009)
Tracks 17-22 from Carry Me Ontario (LG23, 2009)
Tracks 23-26 from Deep Space Bistro (LG27, 2010)
Tracks 27-32 from Might Minutes (LG28, 2010)
